i cant even myself come to terms with how magical and powerful this album is...
Lush symphonies... gospels... walls upon walls of glorious sound... funky bits,psychedelia... bits of fusions of different genres thrown in to this beautiful collage...
one of the most incredible things about this album is that spiritualized play it in so many different ways live... turning a fast up tempo garage rocky song, into a breathless ambient shoegazing spaced out ceremony... a slow heartwrenching , tear jerking song into a extended jam session and a full on party.
The lyrics in the ending song 'cop shoot cop' just put the vision of jason 'frontman' sat motionless with dryed eyes , out of his mind... and funnily enough it makes you feel your sat there with him watching him slowly stare at the ceiling....
from the ectasy rush of electricity- merging into this unbelieveable capture of emotion and stillness of the listeners mind into of Home of the brave 'when im not with her im not all myself' this song just shows the mess of his mind with walls of noise in the background with a seperated slow stare of words what sounds like a person trying to fight his demons...
anyway no words can really capture the magic and the glory of this album
all i can say is this album has changed my life ... helping me respect every instrument and making me want to explore every genre and find every sound beautiful in some way... and especially making me love space that little bit more :)
